That's good enough... I know he doesn't come from Western Mythology, but what about the others?

Mammon
Asmodeus
Leviathan
Beelzebub
Amon/Azzarox
Belphegor

and how do you image each of these fictional characters?

Mammon = someone who is extremely close to his mother.
asmodeus = classic demon like a nobleman with a tiny cigarette.
leviathan = sea demon, huge and pure evil. mix of whale with something else
Bel... = whatever, we all know
Amon = Pharaoh, Yu GI OH kind of stuff
Belphegor =  demon with horns, red, big teeth, part dog or whatever..

what use do you want to give to this info?

well I had a small argument with the literature teacher and he gave me this theme... in order to pass his course. The theme is to chose from the 7 deadly sins 4 symbolic representatives which I should portrait in contrast with mythology and the way they appear in literature.

which you should portrait in contrast with mythology and the way they appear in literature?
so you can basically make anything up as long as it doesn't coincide with the traditional characters?
If that's the case, then it should be easy, shouldn't it?

Well research is going bad is going bad since whatever I found up till now is scrap. There are some SF modern books which depict them in one way or another, but under different names and so far... my luck is going dry...

Though if we actually consider manga as modern visual literature I may have more to say but that's very far-fetched...

Well, you could research how their appearance change and compare it with the changes society went through in order to see if they're somewhat related.

Well, I asked whether you've read Hellblazer because there's plenty of biblical and demonic material which can at least give you some idea.
I think expressions by classic painters like J. Bosch should give a hint about them and how the attitudes have evolved (WoW 24/7 = sloth? Global warming = pride? realities/MTV = lust?) I mean, there are stuff just produced/invented in the last century and i guess there it's the most 'creative' material

P.S: Blizzard = Belphegor? hahahaha....

Thanks for the tip Joe. This will surely come in handy.

Btw the only things I found usefull so far is that Belphegor was supposed to be the fourth rider in a SF text book, but the thing is that he never showed up.
